Lake Imaging provide athletes access to radiology services at a ‘bulk bill’ rate, with no out-of-pocket expense (normally up to $250). ATHLETES MUST HAVE REFERRAL FROM GP OR SPECIALIST
Certain tests (e.g. MRI scans) do not attract a Medicare rebate, athletes will be billed at a discounted rate of $270. (In most cases if referred by a specialist this will not be charged. If referred by a GP a rebate will apply sometimes).
Lake Imaging’s services that are most relevant to our athletes include:
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound (Shoulder, Wrist, Elbow, Ankle & Knee)
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- CT – high resolution low radiation dose
- Digital X-ray
- Nuclear medicine
- Guided interventional procedures/joint injections
- Bone Densitometry and Body Composition Imaging
